Questions to ask yourself is where will you use the scooter at and where do you see yourself in 1 to 2 years.
Will you need the mobility scooter inside your home?
If you are using your electric scooter inside your home your would ideally want to have as much open space as possible. The overall footprint and turn radius of the scooter are extremely important at this point as well. Many houses in states like New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachussetts were built with narrow doorways which can prevent access to some rooms in the house. Door thresholds can be a hazzard or create boundries as well in some cases. Most of the time, a 3 wheel mobility scooter will be the best option for indoor use.
Will you have to use the mobility scooter full time?
Over the years we’ve seen mobility scooter usage increase in different ways. One is that more people use an electric scooter than ever before and the other is that people use their scooter more often. Once this happened we started to understand more and more the importance of knowing an average day of our customers before we sell them a scooter. An example that comes to mind is a user that described their desire to ride their scooter at the local mall. After a month of usage, they called frustrated because their scooter kept losing power. They blamed us for selling them a bad scooter. After a long conversation to find a solution that made our customer happy we made a great discovery. The mobility scooter battery had great battery life to spend plenty of time at the mall. The issue was that they were using the scooter to transport them TO the mall and then using it to look around the mall, then riding it back home! Lesson learned. So, make sure your are very detailed when describing your intended use of your electric scooter!
